Hmmmm.. Not quite a hectic day but still didn't achieve much from my previous to do list! Gah!

3) Rcs F. Dept job list - this one's been pending for a long timeee... don't think anyone will do their tasks if they're not pushed or written in stone. sigh.. the spirit of it, salahhhh...

RFP... gahhhhhhhhhhh......................... Tested out the script a lil.... gahhhhh!!! I don't have the flair of an emcee.. I don't have the intonations or fluency of speech sometimes. I really think i need to chant hard for this.... instead of the veterans heading / doing most of it... I get a big chunk of the script or should I say I'm talking from start to finish! Something that I didn't expect at all... :( worrieeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssss...........

On another note, Eng Ann Mamak's rotiiiiii kosong was nice! Teh Tarik at one point had a hint of Kofi to it... hmmmmm... I need to keep up my 1 hour chanting per day... not kidding that it's dai-ing d :(

OMGhzn... my nerves.. lol... feels crazyyyy...

Hmmmm slow day at work again.. I really cannot stand looking at the bloody filing that I have to do. Everything else, letters, follow ups and calls and calculations NO PROBLEM but I hate it the most when it comes to filing. And gah yes, I haven't been doing a really good job at it.. I really pull back and hesitate a lot but the annoyance is really putting me far behind in completion of my work. Everything else can't start without it. Time to really put my eyes and heart into it... Sigh... I really, don't, like, filing. I do feel like crying whenever my dad's partner sits me down to do a walk through and check on it... Kinda feel like a failure every single time there's something missing or wrong with it. Guess that's why I got no heart to do it anymore. Time to face my fears....!!

LOL. The above was 1 full paragraph dedicated to complain about filing.

Anyways, had a very productive day today. A, L and S came for the Kayo Kai meet which I'm extremely happy about! It's all 'cause of homevisit I tell you!! Must make sure we keep up all the homevisits that we've doneeee! before long, we won't know who else to visit.. hahahaaha.. : ) It's always nice to have new faces and indirectly new sisters. N couldn't make it and sigh, I guess I should've called or spoken to her and not just left it at the SMS. Need to take note to put in more effort into stuff! Kxin..................... Do better!

Actually sent CYL to school today coz aunty AnG was out with my mum... Rushed over to pick her up at 12.45pm. dropped her off and parked really further than S's house.. Poorthing her also coz she gotta depend on ppl to take her stuff like bags and all. I bet she doesn't feel happy about the arrangement coz could see she feels bad about it. But anyways, jsut hung around at the waiting place with her and was approached by school prefects. LOL. they didn't know who I was and just wanted to inform her to get a pass for me so that she's able to have visitors wait with her there. Girl prefects was like saying... "ermmm.. so your... ermm... mum??? can wait here with you"... omg. MOM. sigh. yes i know, I look like an aunty.

anyways let's just leave that there.

Then had a small little project of prayer list or victory daimoku to do. very productive indeed! So we have a prayer list next to the butsudan for all to see and pray for good health! took us an hour plus awhile to crack our heads but it's there!

Oh yeah, discussion meet prep didn't happen today.. sigh.. was hoping it would... but yeah, time to really put my thinking cap on and do something about the entertainment. GHT mentioned about this month being the month of Peace and next month Gokuyo time.. apparently there's a few buddhist stories on this, maybe a story telling session? Or an informative RFP facts and FAQs for the crowd to be prepared for the run?

Which reminds me! The Script IS NOT DONE. GAH! Gotta do it if not takkan go empty handed to see the committee right? The rest aren't that nervous, maybe it's not sooooo needed? Not sure..

Waking up these few mornings is hard, probably it's because of my aching back or maybe 'cause I don't know what I'm doing any more? Most times feel like I've lost control of my life a lil. But I think I'm passed that already... Time to start looking into my life and be the navigator of it. Time to take over the reigns and be captain instead of that soulless zombie.

Emcee for Run For Peace 2011? I shake and am weak in my knees knowing that I'll talk in front of 8,000 people. Let's not talk about those that are really judgemental! I know I get pretty tongue tied and go off like speedy gonzales when I get nervous.! How can one person be tongue tied and speedy gonzales right? Kinda relying on Mr. Loh and Ms. Chin on this because I'm not too sure what to do or react. But I know there's no laying back on this!

Tonight there'll be an Ikeda Kayo Kai meeting, not too sure who's conducting it, probably best to check and find out rather than later plus after that I'll have a discussion meeting prep. No news on that yet, maybe best to check up on that as well. Gotta handle the entertainment part on discussion meeting but still no ideas. Hmmm...

I know there are 24 hours in a day.
To some, that's like PLENTY of time.
To ones that know how to balance it.
If I were to say I'm not one of those.

How do I strike the perfect match?
Between being myself and being the rest?

I'm not giving up. I'm seriously not so don't worry.
Just sometimes thinking bout this inside wears me down.
I guess that's why I maintained my blog for all this time.
In times like this, I just want to shout!

I guess I'm just complaining? In some way?
I don't need lectures, I just need to keep my mind straight.

I'm getting bored with assignments and study... and apparently work life is no better.
If that's the case, how can I escape from the mundane-ness and be better?

How can I outgrow myself and fulfill my life's dreams, if there were any?
Somehow I know my answers but I would love it if people would remind me again.

Cambodia Trip - Siem Reap

BEHOLD! Long posts and continuations! Be sure not to read this word by word.. ahhahaahah

The Land of Fun and Random Stuff!

It was my first trip somewhere without my parents (outside of Malaysia that is) and I was pretty much really excited till I couldn't sleep well the night before... well, considering that my flight was 7am and I had to wake up by 4.30am to get ready and dressed to reach by 5am at LCCT!!! (Two hours is safer - before boarding period). Why we follow this rule?? I don't know why myself but being a first time traveler, I'm following everything by the books!!!

Oh ya, I'd first like to thank Lionel for being such a nice friend to give us a ride to the airport SOOOOO early in the morning and with him risking it after he forgot his wallet and mobile phone. Hehe. Thank you! So anyways, we were waiting for the plane for like 1 hour plus at Coffee Bean in LCCT. I tell you, the service sucked with sour faces and plates clinking and clanking all over the place. Never even serve us with a smile. Grumpy with customers, damn pissy la they all! So after that, we quickly went our merry ways to the gate (me, ann and K) to the departure hall.

30 minutes before flying off on our journey, we were told the gates was going to be opened a quickly a long queue started forming in front of the gate. Caught unawares, me, A and K were right at the back of the line and standing there like stooopeed people for god knows how long. When I was standing, I noticed a lot of OLD PEOPLE were heading to Macau.. Gosh, these people got a lot of money ehh.. The people going to Cambodia all young young ones but the line going to Macau all old people. So, I wonder how the policy of "the elderlies get to queue up first" works for the line to Macau. Hehe.. Random thought.
So, we got on the plane and 2 hours later, we've arrived in CAMBODIA! KEMBOJA or whatever you call it. So happy. The funny part was passing thru customs. K was wearing a hat and a pair of glasses so to pass through customs, she had to take them off for the officer to see. First thing the officer did was to BLABB out a LONNGGGG line in Khmer and laughing to himself. I found that funny.. hehehe.. When it was Ann's turn, she had to blow up her cheeks (her passport picture was like pulled sideways) for the officer and that was funny too. I pass by with NO Problemoooo!

We met up with S there and looked for a cab to our hotel. Btw, we were staying at a boutique hotel named Viroth's Hotel! The first impression was great and it sat at a quaint and quiet little street far away from the noisy honks of the main roads.

OH, I totally forgot, our first experience with our taxi driver, Lai! So, all 4 of us got into the car and K casually sauntered to the left hand side of the car. OOPS, driver's seat. Hehe. They drive on the different side of the road yahhh... So it was a really weird experience at first. Then it gradually got worse. As the car hit the main roads, he was driving soooo wrecklessly (compared to malaysian standards) that it would make a paranoid (like Soo) scratch and break the side windows in fear! (Note; Soo likes to grab on the windows - thinking she can brace herself from impact and making a loud CLANK of her ring on the windows). Motorcyclists EVERYWHERE! Bicycles RUnning AMOK (not the Cambodian dish)! The driver is like swerving inches from pedestrians and other cars and riding in the middle of the street. And our 'wonderful' driver Lai could still tell us of the extra service he can provide as a driver and tour guide while driving like that. We got pretty frustrated after we tried to turn him down nicely by saying, "maybe tomorrow we'll give you a call to drive us around if we need you". He didn't get it and kept insisting that we call him to a point where the frustrations in the car was sooooo high and he kept wanting to give us discounts (I swear he drove slowly just to bargain with us!). When we reach the hotel we were soooo relieved. Plus it was boootifullll!

This concludes today's post. it took me so long to write this sooo please excuse me if my post is too long or filled with unwanted information.. hahahahaa... :)

Let me give you some fish facts i found on the net!!!

1. This is what your fish should look like.. LOL (apparently, the mouth is kinda at the bottom - looks like what we call 'mpk' fish!)
2. You gotta make sure they're using this fish and not the 'chin chin' fish from China. 'cause Garra rufa's the one that (According to the star la..):

Hey guys, normally I don't touch on topics that regard politics of our nation or whatsoever for obvious reasons. First, I'm not sure what the heck is going on as our newspapers these days are not reliable (esp english ones) and then ppl like me don't want to be sued.

However, I'd like to show you guys these two videos that have been circulating around the internet. At first glance, you would be thinking that this is from other countries. The truth is, this is the people of OUR country, our Malaysia. The newspaper downplayed it and mentioned only by saying about 100 people in the protest in Masjid Jamek. I say YOU watch the videos and determine it yourselves.

I know politics are not our thing and have never been our interest. Heck, I've never been interested in politics. They're a load of crap but I've been learning to listen and see for myself. We've been blindly siding the parties that tells us that we're unified. Do you think we're unified? Our young kids these days are still taught to fear other races, mini crimes like theft and burglary are running WILD, killing sprees are happening and there's no result yet for these cases. There is so much more.

Do we still live in a peaceful country? I'm so afraid to even step out of my own house to go to my car. Armed with a pepper spray, I've been taught to always be alert of my surroundings as you wouldn't know when you'll be unlucky. I don't even feel like bringing my brothers to the nearest playground in the afternoon coz it's just not safe anymore.

I think our country is blossoming beautifully (probably) when it comes to the perspective of economics. If so, why are people questioning the price increase of a lot of things? I don't even understand why there's an increase in the price of teh tarik when the price of flour went up. Where's the control?

Living as a role model in the name of peace? I don't think so. It's just not working anymore. This is not happening in other countries people, this is OUR country we're talking. Open your eyes and start asking questions.

Ah, you people should know how I feel about holidays. Mixed feelings. I'm extremely happy that I don't put so much stress on myself during that certain period of time (unlike during my semesters when all I feel like doing is smashing car windows and furniture). However, here comes a problem when I'm so bored due to not havin anything to do, I get restless, antsy and finally lethargic.

Now, all I feel like is vomiting. I would wake up in the middle of the night, tossing and turning trying to get back to sleep. In the mornings, I will feel like sleeping in as there's nothing on tv and nothing to do. In the afternoons, I'll probably go out to lunch or stay at home and skip lunch coz i ate brunch. I'll go on facebook, pet and feed my fluff (a nice pet application. don't think somethin else) till I get bored then I feel like sleeping again. Come evening time, I feel like going out coz that's the only time everyone's free. Get nagging from parents first then come home and start all the cycle again. The end result? My stomach's churning. I'm feeling anxious and restless. I feel like VOMITING.

Next question is, why haven't I found a job?
-Got few job offers, one got rejected coz i don't have knowledge in mandrin, the rest I kinda reject it coz it's either too far or I need to do promoter job.
-Job clashes with my SGM commitments like choir practices.
-You might think I'm a spoiled brat that won't do promoter jobs. Probably I am but these jobs will get me unwanted attention and i hate being stared at, trust me. Even driving in the car when another driver looks at me, I'll stare back at him and feel like screaming, "SEE WHAT?".
-I'm just plain lazy and hopeless.

However, there's this writer's workshop which is going to go on during this month. I really feel like going........ don't know the way there coz it's in SGM's Subang Culture center...... sigh... I want to get back to writing again, I just can't find my muse.

hahaha!! Am having holidays for like 2 months plus. I wanna bum but my dad says get a job! So what do I do? Bum till I get a job. :)) I'm just gonna sit here till a job miraculously lands on my lap and says they want me! (I got turned down on one job 'cause I didn't know how to write mandrin) It's a scary fact. Sigh, I know. LEARN MANDRIN!

Anyways, my semester had been soooo hectic I didn't even have time to watch TV. That taught me a lesson to not take on too much burden that I can't bear! Hmmm... Time to do some productive stuff again. ON the other hand, my choir (RC2) is involved in a upcoming MCA performance in Stadium Bukit Jalil. It's going to be a fun thing with big performers like Erra Fazira and Guang Liang. However, the practice and rehearsals are killing me! Gahhh.. But we got a chance to combine with our partners (RC1 - KL) and it has been fun!! No regrets here!

Saw lots of talents there! So, head down to Stadium Bukit Jalil on the 28th of Oct!! :))

Today I have a complaint... Sigh... it's regarding the Pos Malaysia services..

Funny that I get a notice today that I have a registered mail which was not retrieved.
Best part was: That postman didn't even ring the doorbell or asked my maids where I was

Normally the routine (from my opinion) is,
1. you go to a person's place
2. ring the doorbell looking for the person who is the recepient of the registered mail
3. If the receipient is not in, leave a notice either in the post box or pass it to anyone who's at home

Funny thing is... I WAS HOME THE WHOLE FRIGGIN DAY TODAY!!!

And... I didn't see any postman or anything... and it was only few minutes ago that my maid said it was in the mail...

So, tell me.

It's a type of service right? Where you send it directly to the person that was intended?
This is so to ensure that the person receives it and no need to hassle themselves to the post office?

Then, I called the post office regarding this matter.
That guy was like, 'yeah? yeahh.. (in a dun care manner)'

I complained it was in BM i'll just translate it to english: "hari ini saya terima notis pemberitahuan untuk posdaftar" (Today i received a registered mail notice),
But the funny thing is, I was at home the WHOLE day and I didn't see any postmen and neither did my maids! We just found the notice card in the post box. Now that's a bit funny right?"

THe guy goes: "Ya Kah?"
Me: Ya lah.

TGG: "what's the serial number of your registered mail?"
Me: *********************

TGG: "ok ok"
Me: So how? Do I need to go to the post office to get the mail?

TGG: Yes, you do.
Me: Can u send it to me again?

TGG: Sorry, this is a one time service only.
Me: But then, your postman didn't even look for me! (repeats reason again)

TGG: Dunno la.
Me: Huh?

TGG: Okay, I shall see how. I'll talk to the postman to send it back to you again. You'll be at home the whole day tomorrow right?
Me: No. I'll only be at home in the mornings till 12.30pm.

TGG: Only till 1230? Because the postman doesn't have a proper timing, so I'm not sure if he'll get it to you on time.
Me: ahh? then?

The Guy FINALLY goes to a conclusion: kalau begitu, 'NASIBLAH'
As I didn't wanna argue further, I went: Okay.

So... what really made me boil was the guy's response. He could've phrased it a different way. He was sooooo unfriendly, he sounded terribly bored at my complaint and at first didn't even want to hear my complaint. I was so angry. I was very patient that time and didn't wanna say any further coz i bet it fell on deaf ears.

We shall see tomorrow. If I still don't get it and get a stoopid notice in my mail box without anyone at home being informed of it.............. i shall leave it like that. I'm already in a horrible mood today..

I hope this is NOT what my country comes to be in the future.

NOW! i'm in suspense coz I don't know what the hell the letter is about and I'm worried! GAHH!!

How do u know when you're old enough to make your own decisions?
How do u realize you're still too young? Do you have an age limit? But does that mean you've matured well according to your lifestyle? How do u know the decisions u make in life are the best? How if you follow the words of others and it's not?

When all these questions pop into my head, I'm the kind of person that dwells in it and never lets things go easily. How do I know that I've made the right choice in life? Do I actually know what I'm about to face as well? Am I old enough?

The truth is, who in this world really knows what they're doing? No one can predict the future or those small little bumps on the way. You cannot avoid it when it's going to happen. You can only prepare for the expected.

Many question me on what I've been going through these past months. Most just ask me if that's what i want. What I'd like to say to all is:

"I've never been happier and more at ease in my life. It seems my life has been more complete and content. I have a purpose, I have a mission and I have a challenge. I've mentally and physically prepared myself as well. But to what extent of preparation can a person get? I will definitely face ups and downs. I'll definitely find times when I'm down dark in a cold cave, but all these things I shall fight to the end for my right. For my right to be happy. For the right to do the things that I love. All I need is support and open minds. All I need is love. If I have to fall, let me fall and help pull me back up again to get on track. 'Cause I know I need everything I've got to get through this and be the happy person that I am. I'm thankful to have found my mission in life and have taken the steps to go to the end with it. Thank you for listening, thank you for supporting. Now, all I need is courage and when I achieve that, you will see me roar"
